“Tra la carne e il cielo tour”: Africa meets the Beatles in the sound of Mario Venuti
A new line-up on stage: Mario Venuti on guitar and vocals, Peppe Milia and Giuseppe Nasello on guitars, Eusebio Gentulio on bass, Franco Barresi on drums and Gabriel Prado on percussion.
“ When they ask me – says Venuti – if I think of the words or the music first, I answer that I think of the sound first. Then the rest comes by itself. The same goes for a concert. The setlist is born as a consequence of the sound I have in mind. For this new show, the percussions that sound like Africa and Brazil resonate in my ears together with the electric guitars that sound like the Beatles, like Talking Heads. The songs, even my most popular ones, will have to adapt to this sound and then it will be a beautiful journey, a discovery of that ever-living material that are songs ”
With this concert, the public will have the opportunity to rediscover the great successes that have defined the artist's career, and to appreciate the songs from his latest album: from Napoli-Bahia, the first single released in May 2023 to Degrado, the last song that accompanied the release of the new album.
